SFSP: Serving Our Community One Meal at a Time

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

Our Progress Anticipating Summer

We have officially begun our crazy launch into summer! There is a lot that goes into making the meals we serve-- from ordering supplies to delivering fully prepared meals, there are many steps to make sure lunches are ready to go out when the time comes.

This past week, we have been ordering the food needed for the summer and creating the menu schedule, all while making sure we are continuing to provide a balanced healthy meal with what we order.

When will lunches begin to be served?

Our open sites have been confirmed for five locations! We will be serving healthy lunches to anyone 18 years or younger at these sites:

- Prendergast Library

- Lillian Dickson Park

- Boys & Girls Club

- Lincoln Elementary School

- Fletcher Elementary School

Lunches will be served from 11:30AM until 1:00PM Monday through Friday!

Who can be involved?

Anyone 18 or younger can go to one of these sites to receive a free lunch! It is a great opportunity to eat a healthy meal and spend time having fun with friends!

You can send your children to these sites for a lunch, or you could even volunteer at a site!

We are always looking for extra helping hands in the summer, and this is a great opportunity to serve your community and impact the children in the area!

Spread the word to your friends, churches, coworkers, and family! Volunteer! Get meals! Or even better, do both! Why not, right? Stay in tune for ways to sign up to volunteer; a fun and exciting summer is ahead of us!
